Description

SUMMARY

 

Food Service Supervisors provide leadership anddirection to Food Service Attendants and Bartenders, and ensure that theyfollow all operational and food safety procedures while continuing service in aspeedy and expeditious fashion.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES whichmay include, but are not limited to, the following tasks:

 

  1. Resolve customer complaints regarding food service.
  2. Train workers in food preparation, and in service, sanitation, andsafety procedures.
  3. Must be able to perform the duties of a Food Service Attendant andBartender.
  4. Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure efficient serviceand conformance to standards.
  5. Control inventories of food, equipment, small ware and liquor, andreport shortages to designated personnel.
  6. Observe and evaluate workers and work procedures in order to ensurequality standards and service.
  7. Assign duties, responsibilities, and work stations to employees inaccordance with work requirements.
  8. Estimate supplies required to prepare for opening.
  9. Able to communicate verbally with guests and other employees.

10. Ability to follow and accomplish instructions & procedures.

11. Ensures that all Food Service Attendants follow Splash Lagoon Policiesand Procedures.

12. Food Services Supervisor may initiate and follow disciplinary actions upto but NOT   including suspension and/ortermination.

13. Must be willing to perform other task and or related duties as assignedor required by         management whennecessary.

14. Willingness to work a flexible work schedule as dictated by business andor/staffing demands.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. This employee is responsiblefor maintaining an environment that is both safe and pleasant for patrons.
  2. This employee is required toassist in maintaining a high level of customer service (Aloha Spirit).
  3. This employee may be required,to supervise other employees.
  4. This employee may be required to handle and dispense alcoholic beveragesin a proper fashion.
  5. This employee performs othertasks and/or related duties as assigned or required by management andsupervisors when necessary.
  6. This employee is to wearapproved uniform and any necessary job-related equipment during assigned shiftor anytime while on duty.
  7. This employee may be subjectto both pre-employment and random drug/alcohol screening during tenure ofemployment.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  1. Ability to properly and safely operate equipmentused.
  2. Must be 18 years of age or older.
  3. Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  4. Ability to communicate effectively with public,guests and staff members.
  5. Must have emotional stability and the ability to make sound decisionsthat conform to facility policies when dealing in adverse situations.
  6. Knowledge that their decisions may affect the totalfacility and the lives of others.
  7. Must be firm, fair, consistent and courteous inorder to gain the respect and cooperation of the public.
  8. Must have a positive attitude in order to fullycooperate with other employees in a team effort, and adhere to rules andregulations to ensure successful operation of a facility.
  9. Must have the physical and mental conditionsnecessary to be able to properly and timely activate and complete the EAPsystem in the case of an emergency.

10.Must possess good oral communication skills.

11.Must be skilled in the use and care of suppliedequipment.

12.Independent judgment concerning work methods andprocedures is required.

 

 

EDUCATION and/orEXPERIENCE

 

  1. Minimum high schooldiploma or GED equivalent.
  2. 2-3 yearssupervisory experience.

 

CERTIFICATES,LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

 

  1. Must be able to obtain Serve Safe Certification.
  2. Must acquire TIPS training Certification.

 

PHYSICALDEMANDS 

 

  1. Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  2. Ability to bend, squat, kneel, reach, stretch, andclimb without any difficulty.       
  3. Ability to effectively work at different heights.
  4. Works in tiring or uncomfortable positions or situations for longperiods of time.

 

WORKENVIRONMENT 

 

  1. Able to work in team environment as a team member and as team leader.
  2. Must work in environmental conditions that include, but not limited to:
    1. Wet and humid environments.
    2. Indoor environmental conditions with up to 90% humidity and temperaturesranging from 70F to 120 F.
  3. Possible exposure to chemicals, fumes, dirt, caustic chemicals, acids,odors, waste, and dust.
  4. Uniformed position.
