Discover Splash Lagoon
conveniently located at the intersection of I-79 and I-90 in Erie, Pa
Splash Lagoon’s 84-degree tropical Polynesian atmosphere is ranked one of the Top 10 Water Park Resorts in the country by numerous industry trade magazines. The park was opened in March 2003. Since then, more than three million guests have enjoyed Splash Lagoon. Our park features nine water slides, pools, hot tubs, a 12-level interactive Tree House, a Tree Tops Ropes Course, and a 6,500 square foot Arcade with over 100 games. Guests will enjoy riding extremely tall waves made by the 200,000-gallon Wild Waters Wave Pool, one of the largest indoor wave pools in the eastern United States. Over 300,000 visitors come to Erie, Pa. every year for the park alone. Three luxury hotels are connected to the resort: The Wyndham Garden, Hawthorn Inn & Suites, and The Comfort Inn & Suites, all of which are perfect for family getaways. Quaker Steak & Lube is also connected directly to the park.
The water park has three main dining options for guests: Quaker Steak & Lube, The Laguna Grill, and The Surf Bar. Guests can also pick up memorabilia from The Surf Shop during their stay. Splash Lagoon features the Palms Room, which offers over 3,000 square-feet of space for private parties, corporate meetings, and birthday parties.
The water park has expanded four times. In 2005, the resort added two water slides, The Python Plunge and The Shark Attack, as well as Boston’s Restaurant & Sports Bar. In 2011, we put in The Tree Tops Ropes Course and The Wild Waters Wave Pool. The Tree Tops Ropes Course is a dry attraction where guests can climb three stories high over the water park by walking on tight ropes, balancing on rickety bridges, or braving balance beams. The Wild Waters Indoor Wave Pool has proven to be one of the biggest and best water attractions in the water park’s history and is a favorite spot for many guests. It is one of the largest indoor wave pools in the eastern United States.
In December 2014, Boston’s Restaurant and Sports Bar, attached to Splash Lagoon, was transformed into Hooch & Blotto’s Sports Bar & Grill.
In December 2017, Splash Lagoon expanded its children’s play area, Monkey Shines Island to include three additional slides and a dumping bucket. The expansion doubles the number of slides to a total of seven in the shallow pools of Monkey Shines Island!
In 2020, the resort added the FlowRider Surf Machine next to the wave pool and expanded the size of the Treasure Island Arcade, adding dozens of new games!
In 2022, the resort underwent major renovations, including a new million-dollar multi-level Tree House that houses two new water slides, Typhoon Twister & Riptide Racers, a new Kid’s Froggy Splash Pad, and the addition of a brand new prize room in the Treasure Island Arcade!
In January 2023, Hooch & Blotto’s Sports Bar & Grill was transformed into Quaker Steak & Lube.
