On Saturday, October 26, Splash Lagoon hosted our second annual Boo at the Lagoon celebration! Guests made their way to the park for a day full of spooktacular entertainment and activities such as a coloring contest, cookie decorating, Halloween crafts, trick-or-treating and a costume parade with our special villain guests!
Coloring Contest. Our coloring contest spans almost the entirety of the event and allows each guest to channel their inner Picasso as they bring their coloring pages to life. This event’s coloring page theme was pumpkins in order to celebrate National Pumpkin Day! At 4pm, our winner was chosen at random – help us in congratulating Sky for her beautiful work of art! We love her incorporation of so many colors into the page in order to give this pumpkin their very own spunky personality!
Cookie Decorating and Halloween Crafts. Rows of purple and orange frosting covered the table as guests approached to decorate their very own sugar cookies. Talk about a sweet addition to the day! After that hour had ended and everyone was satisfied with their sweet treats, we transitioned into a time of assembling our foam Halloween masks! Guests could choose a pumpkin, witch, werewolf, Frankenstein, or even a monster mask to add to their festive ensemble.
Trick-or-Treating. The clock struck five and guests lined up outside of the Tiki Bar, patiently waiting their turn to receive their treat bag and trick-or-treating instructions. Our guests paraded to five different stops around the park to receive their candy and fill up their treat bags. The best part of it all? When complete, they could turn in a punch card to the front desk in order to be entered into a grand prize drawing for an Arcade surprise!
Character Appearances. Most likely in a sugar coma by now, our guests then had the amazing opportunity to interact with our very special villain guests! Our villains stopped for photo ops and conversations throughout the park, all before leading our dressed up guests in a parade around the park to display their creativity through their costumes. We saw everyone from princesses, to superheroes, animals, and even Marshmello! Not only was the parade a total success, but to end the night our villains lead a dance party and games on the upper mezzanine level until it was time for them to return back home.
Next Up? Splash Lagoon’s next event is Snow Much Fun on Saturday, November 16, 2019. The day will feature activities, such as cookie decorating, face painting, and crafts.
