A Royal Day at Splash Lagoon

A princess-themed event for Splash Lagoon guests to enjoy

With long, colorful gowns and large, sparkly crowns, there were no frowns here at splash-town! On August 10, 2019, Splash Lagoon Indoor Water Park Resort hosted Princesses in the Park. The event highlighted activities and crafts for guests, such as a coloring contest, cookie decorating and royal crafts. Guests even had the opportunity to meet with their favorite princesses!

Coloring Contest. My-oh-my, it’s coloring time as guests showcased their inner artist as they participated in our coloring contest! Participants chose one of the six princess-themed coloring pages available to design and colored the page in their own creative way. Each participant’s coloring page was brought to life through the use of unique patterns and bright colors. Our participating artists submitted their completed designs to Splash Lagoon’s front desk to be entered to win a grand prize. Out of the 35 participants who entered, our lucky winner was Jase’s Frog Princess design!

Cookie Decorating. The smell of scrumptious sugar cookies flooded the air next to Wild Waters Wave Pool as guests lined up to participate in the cookie decorating activity. After selecting a cup of either pink or green frosting, each participant chose a delicious cookie to decorate. Then, it was time to enjoy the sugary, sweet treat. No matter your age, it was a delish activity to participate in!

Royal Crafts. With sparked creativity and the desire to fulfill dreams of becoming a prince or princess, it was time to get crafty! Guests could choose between two crafts: princess crowns or a knight’s mask. Using jewels and gem stickers, the participants had the creative freedom to design their crown how they wanted. Plus, many participants took it one step further by personalizing their crown with their name. Some guests, however, opted to create a knight’s mask to wear throughout the park for the day.  Each craft provided guests an opportunity to create a magical memory to treasure for years to come!

Meet and Greet. Astonishment and excitement grew on the faces of guests as two enchanting, fairytale princesses strolled through the doors of Splash Lagoon. At 3 o’clock, the princesses embarked on a journey throughout the water park to meet and take photos with guests.

Then, at 4:30 p.m., long, blonde hair and vibrant gowns filled the Wild Waters Wave Pool area as two more notable princesses arrived at Splash Lagoon. For an hour and a half, the princesses walked around the water park, meeting, engaging and teaching guests about the princess lifestyle.

Next Up? Splash Lagoon’s next event is Red, White and Splash on Saturday, August 31, 2019. The day will feature activities, such as cookie decorating and patriotic crafts.
